I like Lea better than Liz.
As for Dan and Robin, Robin all the way. |

Liz seems to hit a lot higher notes than Lea does. When I'm singing to the CD in the car, I have a lot more trouble staying in Liz's vocal range than Lea's.
Between Dan and Robin, I gotta go with Robin, since he really set the tone for Genie. Although Dan really cracks me up, especially throwing in those occasional Homer-isms. |

Lea and Liz sound the same to me as well. When I first saw RoJ I couldn't tell the difference until I saw the credits. |

Liz Callaway and Lea Salonga have very similar voices so I have no preference. I really like them both.
I prefer Robin Williams as the voice of the genie. He seemed to have more energy and sincerity in his voice. Though Dan Castallanetta also did a great job.
I also prefer the original voice of the sultan, Douglas Seale, to the other one. I liked the sound of his voice. I thought it was effective in sounding naive in one moment and stern in another. |

If the contest was between Dan and Robin, I would have to go with Robin. He was absolutely hilarious, and he made the Genie's script up pretty much.
There are just some people who prefer one voice actor over the other... or one singing voice over the other. |
I agree Robin really brought the Genie to life!! He had the perfect sense of humor and character for the Genie. He had the perfect fun attitude that the Genie was supposed to have.
Dan did okay but I was really happy to hear that Robin was coming back as the Genie for Aladdin in The King Of Thieves!! He did great I was so happy to see him play that part!! |

Lea had the better song of the bunch, but I love Liz as a singer. I thought she did a great job in "Anastasia". |
I also liked Liz as Kiara, and Odette, and of course... Jasmine. She's done alot... and unlike Lea, she does more than one song.
Don't get me wrong, Lea's great... but I think Liz has something more. |

The Genies:
Definately Robin. Genie is Robin in animated form.
The Sultans: Val does a good job replacing Doug, but Doug started it all.
The Mozeys (yeah, he had a voice voice replacentment for one ep):
No contest. Jon Brandis. Jeff Benette is better at doing older men than teenagers. |

As for Lea and Liz, it doesn't matter. Hell, they sound the same to me, but that could just be due to my lack of perceptiveness.
Now, Dan vs. Robin is easy for me- Dan all the way. *Hugs Dan*. Another cast battle, Douglas vs. Val goes to Douglas. |

It doesn't really matter to me. Lea and Liz are both amazing. It's sorta like me with Dan and Robin. Both are great as Genie, so I have no real preference. |

There are alot of people out there who like Lea Solanga better than Liz Callway as "Jasmine's" singing voice.
I personally like Liz Callway better only because I know of alot of her other works... and her voice is... I don't know, it just has something to it that Lea's doesn't.
Please, tell me what you think. |
