At any rate, better a cartoon than an X-rated flick, right? Some people have the stupidest notions as to what "mature" entails. ¬_¬
Yes
. Apparently if you can draw one Disney character, that means you can draw them all.

My family doesn't make fun of me,exactly, they just get annoyed that I talk about Aladdin all the time.My mom rolls her eyes now anytime she hears the words "fanfiction","Aladdin",or "Jasmine" because I bring it up SO much.
Sounds like my husband. He thinks fanfics are a waste of time.
How many of you have people who tell you to write stories using your own characters? Or in the case of those who draw fan art, do people tell you to draw things besides Aladdin characters?

My friend does that. She doesn't want me to write stories with my own characters, though, just anything that's not Aladdin-related.

Please, I hope that I'm not the only one. But has anybody in your family ever made fun of you because you like "Aladdin" so much?
For instance, a brother comes in my room and sees me typing in the message board. He goes and speaks in an Indian accent, " Hello my name is Aladdin. Would you like a squishy?"
In my head, " What a stupid a**! Aladdin is Arabian and you're in the wrong stereotype."
or my father says, " You're always writing your Aladdin stories! Aladdin this and Aladdin that! What does Aladdin ever do for you?"
In my head, " Uh, well.
I can think a few."
Please share.
My husband makes fun of me all the time! I mean, he accepts my obsession, but just like a man, he has to give me his commentary. Mostly having to do with the stories my friend and I write, and my obsession with Mozenrath, even though he's never seen a Mozenrath episode.
As for the rest of my family, they gave up on making fun of me years ago.
But I can so see my twin sister teasing me about Mozenrath.

EXACTLY!
It's your little naughty corner that got me going and something to do with a fez.
If you saw Jarhead then you'll know what I mean.

Oh man! My mind is so going to the gutter right now! I can't answer this one. I simply can't. Jake Gyllenhaal and that Santa Hat in " Jarhead". I'm imagining something else with a Fez..... HELP!

ya, well, sometimes I simply forget about Jasmine. I really like her and all, but sometimes it's necessary to imagine she never existed...or that they divorced, but I'm not going to say that again, because I had to go to the naughty corner last time, and wear a fez...lol.

My family and friends all know that Aladdin and I are getting married, so it's all cool with them. hehe (So just joking though...it's great fun!)
It's funny when I look at other guys, or start showing other interests in other guys, they all ask what Aladdin would think. It's fun, and that's all.
Aren't you a little late for that?

What's weird is I've noticed, getting older, that I'm a LOT like my mom, even though we have nothing in common. I asked her about what her goal was to do with her kids, and it seemed she was trying to do everything her mother hadn't done...but she'd neglected some other things Nana did well, like hang out with her kids.
So take a lesson from your parents AND add to it. Don't neglect what they do, or you'll end up on the opposite side of the fence where the grass is the same nasty shade in a different position.

It's not legal, actually, I think, but people do it anyway, out of custom and all that.
Not sure if it's illegal or not, but it's sure looked down upon.
