I used to read his books all the time. Then I tried reading the one about movies, couldn't finish it and grew bored. Maybe I didn't get the jokes because I don't know much about movies. Still, Pratchett is one the funniest people in the world history, period. No other author has made me laugh out loud as much.
That's the first Discworld book I've read.

Yes, the Death ones are quite interesting. I like the one "Mort," where Death takes an apprentice.

I mainly read the "Death" story arcs. When my cat Minnie died, it gave me comfort that Death liked cats and that he was taking care of her.

Sourcery was one of my first Pratchett books. I love Rincewind and the luggage too.
But I haven't read any of his books in a while, I should go see if there's any new ones...

Heh, I was about to recomment Sourcery to you if you hadn't already read it.

Thank you guys for weighing in here. I am glad to see the Aladdin/Terry Pratchett overlap is not only one person. My favorite character is probably Lord Vetinari, but I also like the Luggage. Ever read "Sourcery"? There's an evil grand vizier in it who reminded me of Jafar!

He's my favorite as well, and I believe Laura reads them, too. I'm a Watch fan (natch
).

Post subject: Terry Pratchett
Someone else mentioned him on this site a while back so I think I would like to say that my favorite author is Terry Pratchett, and if anyone else reads him I would like to know.
