I seriously used to think that the line to hell was so long, it took Jafar forever to get the front of the line.
Or that he got kicked out of Agrabah hell because he was
that
bad

Speaking of Jafar and movies, they probably could have made the Hercules and the Arabian Night episode into a full length movie, and delved deeper into the plot, and character relationship developments. That would've been pretty cool in my opinion, any way.

BUUUT if you forget about all that, yes that would be interesting! I would even pick a different villain other than Jafar though. I wouldn't want to wear out defeating him. I like the finality of his demise in RoJ.
Maybe Hades and Ayam!

Now, speaking of the tv series itself, asides virtually everything else y'all have pointed out, I would expand the tv series to at least 100 episodes, adding another 15 or so more.
Does anyone know if there were scripts or anything for more episodes that never made it into the animation stage? Just curious.

Cheater! What if Jafar has said "You know I was only kidding about the most powerful genie thing, right?"
We'd have more movies

That's a perfect example of something that bothers me in the Ethereal enough to change the animation. I can't figure out if Aladdin's reaction to her death is right or not. It might even be the tone struck, I don't know
I also think of "Lost and Founded."

His reaction is sooo close to what I would have wanted. The kiss would be longer, and he wouldn't look to the side with his eyes closed. (wtf was that anyways lol?)

I know exactly what you guys are talking about (that episode The Ethereal). I thought the same thing. He didn't have to kiss her, but he could've at least cried! Other than that, I really like seeing them interact in the episodes.

I'D MAKE ALADDIN AND JASMINE HAVE MORE CHEMISTRY. I DON'T THINK THEY MAKE OUT OR TOUCH OR GROPE OR HUG NEARLY ENOUGH IN THIS SERIES. I CAN'T TELL THEY'RE TOGETHER AT ALL
Wow, really? I think they're so touchy feely all the time! I love their body language. It's great because they don't just touch during a romantic moment or near-death-experience moment. They touch when they're just speaking to their friends casually, like in the end of Black Sand.
We're a lot luckier than Beauty and the Beast fans, The Little Mermaid and Cinderella fans because in their sequels the couples are kind of fake in their interaction.

This is exactly what I was trying to have you do in my last post, but we both wasted our 3 wishes and now Aladdin shall never have boots!

... Okay so that may have been a bit much for Disney, but they could have at least embraced a bit longer, kissed a bit longer, or shed a tear or so.
(I'll bbl with my 3 wishes.

I really don't know about a third idea. After getting the first two, I feel like I'd be changing the series completely and I wouldn't want that. I think what we have is pretty decent for its time and even now. Half of what was written then probably wouldn't be today.
Mozenrath has some innuendos that the writers would never get away with today
In my dream revamp, the script would be the same

1. I'd re-do the animation, which would be going along more with your second point. Besides the big differences when one studio did the drawing next to another one, like you said, sometimes the facial expressions or body movements just didn't fit what was going on. Jasmine I feel like is a biggest loss in this. She ends up looking a lot more jerky and frustrated at times than she actually is because of how she's been animated in a scene. Her design suffers the most out of anyone, too, besides maybe Carpet but he's a bit more understandable. Plus, can you imagine all the fight scenes and flight sequences and magical transformations in higher quality animation? *___*
2. I'd make the canon episode order a lot more obvious
. Dumb thing to waste a wish on, but I feel like if we meet a villain at a certain time in the gang's life or in the series in general, that might affect how they're being treated or how they're seen. There's development and character progression, obviously, but trying to figure out where it all goes is hard sometimes. Something they do may be out of character, it might be in, we don't know. I would make sure the progression throughout the series is clear and fits for what's going on at the time.

Post subject: If you could completely revamp the show....
I've had this foolish dream for years and years, but this is the first time I'm actually making a post about it. This is a hypothetical thread only. We know Disney would never actually do this
But let's say money was not an obstacle and someone gave you all the money in the world in order to revamp the series. What would you change or keep? To make this interesting, let's keep it down to three wishes for everybody
Here's my wish list:
1) I would keep all the old recordings from the voice actors, but only change
some
of the dialogue. Some of Aladdin's bossy dialogue towards Carpet and Genie bug me. I know he's supposed to be a leader, but I wish he had more variety in the things he said. Even "Let's get out of here!" or a panicked "Hurry!" is a lot more interesting than the hundredth time he says "Carpet, let's move!"
2) I would change the characters' physical movements. Sometimes, they came up with really great stuff, especially when it came to the way Aladdin and Jasmine interacted. A lot of the Disney couples for the sequels were really fake in their body language, eye contact, dialogue and tone but Jasmine and Aladdin were perfect
However, sometimes the physical movements of the characters in the Aladdin series would just be awkward. Often, one of the characters would have an inappropriate reaction on their face, like Jasmine looking happy when Mozenrath took over Aladdin's body
Or Jasmine looking cross-eyed whenever someone is saying something totally serious. Or the main characters just stand around and stare blankly and not react to whatever was being said or whatever was happening. I'd also change some of Aladdin's stoic posture/expression during situations where it's understandable to freak out.
3) I'd just delete any thing that went against continuity, like Aladdin and Jasmine not knowing what fireworks were
And although I desperately want to add "let Aladdin wear his gold-trimmed purple vest and shoes all the time + give him a consistently nice hovel" I used up all my three wishes
So if someone really cares about Aladdin's welfare, they'd kindly take those two wishes and use up their own for me!
