It seemed strange when I first saw it but then I forgot all about it. <br /> <br />The Trio did use modern stuff and quite a few references to Tuacahn, like playing "Go Fish" and referencing last year's production of TLM, but all of the real pop culture mentions were saved for Genie who even called Jafar Lady Gaga at one point (which actually worked quite well). <br /> <br />Will say that I totally loved Aladdin's reprise of Proud of Your Boy at the end of Act 1, it was so beautiful and Dan just nailed it.
