My college experience is rather interesting. I started out wanting to do web design, but then I went back to school for early education. Circumstances in my personal life kind of put that on hold, and because of said circumstances, I thought I wanted a degree in community health, but the sciences don't appeal to me the way it did to some of my classmates. Since I was going for a B.A. I had to study a foreign language, and I chose Japanese. My love for language and the support of the professors and teaching assistants led me to pursue a degree in Japanese. My plan is to teach English over there. I will have to go on to grad school, but there are a few things I want to do first, like studying abroad and getting involved in the JET program. I should also point out that I'm 31 years old, and didn't even know what I wanted to do until recently. I think it's best to do what you like and figure out how to turn that into money. And it does seem that a lot of "Aladdin people" are into art. ~Laura
I guess I'm an exception--I like writing but I'm no good at all at art
I can appreciate art though of course ( hence why I'm an Aladdin fan! ). I'm majoring in Accounting and Economics. I like working with numbers and have an eye for detail, and I'm really interested in history and the way world markets work, which is why I'm also doing the economics thing. I'm also doing pre-law studies.

That would be glorious! I would be pretty damn rich if that were the case.

Imagine being paid to do nothing. That would make anyone happy

Yes, I think I'll be happy. I'll be helping people and helping people and making a difference in the lives of others makes me happy.
You're right. That is all that matters.

I'm not majoring in a science related field. I'm probably going to major in sociology and go into the field of social work. I'll be overworked and underpaid!

I wonder if anyone here is majoring in a science-related field?

Where I went to college we don't have majors as such... but I studied Professional Writing and Editing so did subjects like short story writing, poetry, scriptwriting, that sort of stuff.
My job is a medical receptionist/clinic manager/PA to my boss/advisor to dumb-ass people... and weirdly enough, seven years after finishing college, my studies have actually paid off and I'm using stuff I learnt in class at college in a completely unrelated field...

It seems that Aladdin fans are more of the creative type?

I'm entering Museology after I get my Masters because I'm an art major that doesn't actually want to use her degree to make art

I majored in art, but I took Geology as my science. I enjoy dinosaurs and shiny rocks
