Thanks a bunch AladdinsGenie!!! I’m pretty certain I found the right one on Amazon based on your reply and pics. I don’t frequent the site a lot these days (having kids will do that!), but Aladdin’s still my fave Dis character/property and it’s great to have this awesome collection of Aladdin-Awesomeness around for us as a resource.
These are the official blurays released by the Disney Movie club a few years ago, so they weren't necessarily widely available for purchase if you weren't part of that club. I haven't checked how they compare to the originals, but Disney screwed up the cropping/ratio the first time the put them on DVD back in 2005 or whenever that was so I don't know if they fixed it or not. But if you don't want a bootleg, these are it.
I doubt Disney will ever put these on "hi-def", but if they do it'll more than likely be for that Disney+ streaming service.

Post subject: Blu Ray version of Return of Jafar and King of Thieves?
Hello fellow Aladdin-philes. I’m attempting to do an Aladdin-marathon of all three movies and the animated series (yes Meesh, the same series you helped me with years ago!) before the live action film opens. So I figured now would be a good time to spring for the Blu Ray version of Return of Jafar and King of Thieves. In looking on Amazon, though, I took some pause because some listings on Amazon had reviews saying they were bootlegs, others saying the Blu Rays were simply modified versions (aspect wise, etc) of the standard def version and not true high definition renditions. So would anyone know of bona fide versions of RoJ and KoT that are good recommendations to purchase? Amazon links would be helpful. Thanks all, and holy smokes can you believe the live version is upon us soon?!?
