I think pretty much any age is appropriate for Aladdin. It came out the year I was born,so I've been exposed to it all my life. When you're little, you don't really understand the violent scenes, and none of the fight scenes in the movie are that scary anyway,so I think you're neice will be okay.

I was HYSTERICAL during that...it was sort of pathetic, but that was a well-made D2V, and it actually had real emotion!

Yep, it's that one. I remember snarky Aladdin suspended in the air being sarcastic to Mozenrath...*growl* Laughing

Secret of Dagger Rock? Are you sure is that one? Is that the one where Mozenrath kidnapped Aladdin?

Jasmine had to pretend to be a man once to save Aladdin. She didn't cut her hair, she just put it in a hat! I mean, she loves him and everything, but I've yet to see him cross dress for her or cut all HIS pretty hair off. I don't think Jasmine would cut her hair for anything Laughing

When was that? Well, Al has sort of dressed like a girl, didn't he? In the first movie, in the begining of the One Jump Ahead scene, where he was talking to the ladies. Just wrapped in a blanket, or whatever. I hope he doesn't cut his hair off. No, he should wear a wig.

Genie would cross dress for them, though...and just because he wants to Laughing

lolThat's true. A sign of how great a friend Genie actually is. And how much he's willing to do for them. Laughing

But wow, talk about your variety of movies Laughing

The funniest part was that half the people watching the movie in there were black, and they were all... "WTF?! I'm not offended." Laughing

Ah! Cable in the breakrooms. Those were the days.

Yeah, I heard about the entertainment department watched movies during their half hour break and when it rains they go to the Main Entertaiment building to play Playstation and Xbox.

Yup, pretty much! We never had a Playstation or Xbox, sadly. But every break room in a theme park except two (at least that I was in) had a TV with either a VCR or cable or both. One of them at Epcot even had a DVd player. Very Happy But especially when you get on "weather sets" and you're doing 20 minutes on, 40 minutes off... TV becomes a great time-killer! Laughing

Oh, man... when we were in the character zoo once, hanging out before a parade, we were watching Beaches... after hearing Bette Midler sing that song, we all had to go out and do the parade, and we were just about in tears! Laughing

Yeah, when you see a guest cry because they had a awesome day because you were the one that made them happy. Yeah, it gets to you.

Other movies I remember watching while I was in characters: Lilo and Stitch, Goonies, Bring It On, Robin Hood: Men in Tights (MANY times), Sleeping Beauty, MST3K: The Movie, Roots (although our managers decided it was "offensive" and made us turn it off halfway through), A Bug's Life, Simon Birch (try going out on set after watching THAT one)... those are the ones I recall off the top of my head. Plus hours and hours of TV in the breakrooms that got cable.

I saw Aladdin when I was twelve and read the book before the movie came out. screenplay My Godson was about three when he too became the obessed fan. He bugged me for those Aladdin stuff that I HAD. So I bought him the set when I went to Florida and other stuff for him on EBAY.

The first Disney movie I ever cried was DUMBO, that whole sequence and song to Baby Mine. I still cry watching that.

Oh, man, the first time I saw Lilo and Stitch was in the theater at WDW's Downtown Disney on opening day, surrounded by Feature Animation Florida employees. And I tell you what - that "I'm lost" seen had me bawling!
