Um...I guess this is where I say hi, this is my first post?

I'm Sparky, I run lots of websites, *some* of you may know me. I'm an old lady and I've been around the Internet a while. But a lot of people don't know that I'm a huge raving drooling Aladdin fan, because I don't (at least, yet, I'm still considering it) have an Aladdin fansite nor have I posted anything I've written online. But, indeed I am a fan. I'm glad to see that this forum is here and apparently still kicking.

I registered with the name Katala because that is the name of one of my Aladdin OCs, Katala Ghetaal, who's a female imp because there weren't any imp women on the show so I wanted to make some. And then while I was at it I came up with *why* the females are rarely seen, and then started working on why Genies and Imps hate eachother...Yeah even I get bored. Anyways I've yet to finalise her character design so for now I've got Nefir in my avatar, just so y'all can remember me as that Crazy Imp Lady.

I was an animation student at the time, so the summer before Aladdin was released I was able to visit the Disney studio and see some sneak-peeks with my CalArts class (I had already heard some info from an art teacher of mine who was personally acquainted with folks working on the film). Then we went to see the premier at the El Capitan in Los Angeles and I was totally psyched. It remains my favorite Disney film to this day. Like, the day after I saw it for the first time I even started writing a sequel, and I finished it in a few weeks but I doubt I'll ever post it, its pretty dumb. My idea was to use it like a pilot of a series, so I was really happy when I heard they really *were* going to make a series. Anyways, next to Darkwing Duck, Aladdin is my favorite Disney series to date.

My favorite characters are Jafar (my favorite Disney movie villain), Iago, of course Nefir, and Mekanikles, with several others close behind. Um, yeah. I like bad guys.

I guess to be fair, I'm not really so much as a "Nefir fan" so much as I think Imps are an interesting race and I wish they'd done more with them in the series, at least told us why Genies and Imps are enemies. As it was Nefir was the only Imp with a name or any lines, so I guess that's why I said I was a fan. I really just like Imps in general.

Oh and I forgot to mention Abis Mal and Harroud among my favorites, they're made of win, and if I worked for Disney I'd be pushing for them to get their own spin-off series, lol.

I don't particularly like Abis Mal, but Jafar, Mechanikles and Haroud are cool. Oh, and I like imps too. Nothing I liked had more than a few episodes, except Mozenrath. I mean, not just imps, but people like the Odiferans. The Odiferans were hilarious and they didn't get nearly enough episodes! Anyway, welcome.
