I really liked this episode a lot; it was very suspenseful and engrossing, and I really DID believe that Al was a goner. (Although in hindsight, I realize that it wouldn't make sense to kill him off; after all the show IS named after him!)

This episode tells us that Aladdin is 17 years old. He says at the beginning of the episode that he has lived in these alleys for 17 years.

Also, Fashir is at least a thousand years old since his brother Fashoom was also there a thousand years ago. Laughing

Nah, I have the official style guide for the movie and it states he's 17 in it.

This a little late, but I happened to see this and since it's one of my favorite episodes I thought I'd throw in my two cents.

I love the opening. It's so different and feels like a story. It just gets me excited. And then the floating castle in the sky; the image and idea of that is really cool to me. (Retrospectively, I think I like the history it alludes to.)

Though I find it a little jarring now that Aladdin fell from the same height Abis Mal did (around Fashoom's head) and no one thought he was dead.

(Also, I'm somewhat partial to episodes that focus on Aladdin.)
