Whatever. I didn't look it up, but I'm pretty sure I know what it is, as we've got a similar sounding word in German.. _________________

Gelee. It's a word of French origin. _________________

Cool. In English, "Jello" is the product name brand - gelatin is the actual product. _________________

Jello is a company name here, so only one group can use it. _________________

Bill Cosby did a lot of Jello commercials and somewhere (and I can't remember where of course) I read something that Gilbert said about being in a Jello commercial (he was kidding, I'm almost positive ) with him and having to sit in his lap and stuff. _________________

Uh, and why is that funny... I mean other than the mental image of Gilbert sitting in Bill Cosby's lap. _________________

The mental image. And I think that Gilbert said something about Bill Cosby smiling at him and feeding him Jello. I'm looking for the article right now. _________________

Found it.
Interviewer: You've worked with some of the top names in show business. What was it like to work with Bill Cosby on his show?
Gilbert: Well, I got paid off in caseloads of Jell-O. But the problem is, I had to sit in his lap and have him talk to me while I ate it. _________________
