|
|
Hi!
My best friend (Princess Hikaru on here) convinced me to join. And I see I should have joined sooner! I love it here already. Aladdin has always been my fave Disney movie....and well, one of my top all time favorites too. I saw it 9 times at the theatre! Yep, 9! I have never done that for any other movie. It was so special to me...and still is. Like a lot of others I collect Aladdin stuff and I have a mega crush on Aladdin himself. My first love, and he's a toon! I am no Jasmine hater tho - in fact, I wanna BE Jasmine! She and Ariel have forever been my favorite Disney Princesses.
Princess Hikaru and I write Aladdin fan fics. We literally are writing every day. It's so fun! I'm sure she has mentioned them. I also love to draw and sing. I immitate singers often. Disney character voices are especially cool. (my fave to sing like is Ariel) and most of my art is of Disney characters. Of course I tend to draw Jasmine a lot!
This seems like a great list and the perfect place to meet other Aladdin-obsessed people. I look forward to getting to know you all!

So that's what "APK" stands for! And here I thought it was Arabian Princess Killer. Wow! You learn something new every day!

*Giggles at Hikaru's interpretation*
Myself, I know what 'APK' stands for, but I'm always pronouncing it "Apk."
Now Ms. Jem, I recommend you don't go acronym on us, because I don't think I could pronouce "Apj" too well. _________________

Actually, honestly, "APK" reminds me of "Cabbage Patch Kid" for some reason. Maybe it's because the "Sinister Snack Fairy" adds to it and makes me think of Cabbage Patch Snacktime Kids.

When I say it out loud, "Apk" sounds to me like something that belongs in Egyptian mythology. _________________

All these Arabian Princesses and Desert people are going to confuse me
But welcome, welcome! I love Aladdin, but don't hate Jasmine at all either |

Hm, you're right... we do have an inordinate amount of DesertWhatevers and PrincessSomethings.
Interestingly enough, it seems that those of us who actually live in the desert don't have much inclination to put 'Desert' in front of our names. Funny, that... _________________

I guess a lot of us Western fans are insufferable Orientalists. (Hey, I'm including myself in this. ) _________________ "If only I could believe you. Perhaps I can! After all... you do bear the name of a flower." -- Arbutus |

Thanks for the welcome!
Nez, I am so sorry! I had no idea the pic was yours. I got it from a Disney icon search on photobucket a few months ago. If you don't want me to use it, please let me know. I really should start making my own - all the ones I have I found at photobucket.

No, I don't mind. It's just I draw the line when people start taking credit for the things I've done.
Good luck with making your own. It's not that hard when you find tutorials and have a decent photo editing program like Photoshop. _________________
