Hey I was just wondering, is Aladdin's vest supposed to be purple or blue? It always looks more purple. I thought it was supposed to be blue since blue represents "good." What do you all think?

It's purple, just like Jasmine's outfit was originally sky blue and it's always this seagreen color. His belt changes from brown to red all the time, as well. *throws crayons on ground* I give up Very Happy

Purple, but it's a very blue-y purple. And Aladdin has a red hat, so he's not supposed to be 100% good. Wink

(All that blue and purple on Iago... makes you wonder, doesn't it? Wink )

There's that freaky-deaky color scheme symbolism.

But if red is the color of evil, why is Mozy wearing blue throughout the series?

Because the people who designed the series characters didn't follow the same color symbolism. Confused

That's why they made them put some black on Jafar. Too much red! Laughing

And while we're on the subject, one character who didn't follow the color scheme at all: Rajah. (Unless Rajah is secretly evil... Shocked )

I don't know. Orange and yellow are like neutral colors, not evil but not purely good.

If people consider the moments when he is defending Jasmine and scaring off suitors as "Evil" that could be some of it, but that's not "Evil" per se.
I don't think a blue tiger would be believable, though unless it was Genie turning into a tiger Laughing

In some of the storyboards, Rajah was white.

Characters and their colors:

Sadira: Green (her vest), pink (her more girly outfits) = neutral (both good and bad at times)

Eden: Green with pink = good

Saleen: Orange, red, and yellow = evil (following the color scheme of the movie)

Mirage: Red = evil (ditto)

I thought yellow = gold = greed/potentially evil/neutral

Yeah, cause didn't they mention the cave of wonders is like that? It's not exactly a good place to be, but it's not overtly evil.
