So it's pretty much confirmed that the Aladdin update for Dreamlight Valley will come on 26th. Bit sad it's not today, but alas.
They should start posting teasers this week and full reveal next week, so if you guys want, I can post those here.

Took them a while, but they finally showed us our first teaser for the next week's update. Pleasantly surprised that we get Carpet too as a permament companion as I thought he would be a glider instead.
Not gonna lie I'm happy that Aladdin gets a gem stall, as I actually wanted to make him my new main mining friend (I need to let Scrooge get his rest).
Their house is... mixed on it. Not bad, but I'm not sure yet how I would place it in my Glittering Dunes. I will figure it out.
Models also look fine, though at 1 part in the vid Aladdin's eyes looked quite small, but didn't see any issues later.
Also kinda like the realm so far, though surprised to see the palace too, given that's already in the Glittering Dunes.
I really like some of their friendship level items so far!

Okay, so we do get a carpet glider, just not Carpet. I'm actually more than okay with that, though still hoping for Abu to become a pet later on.

Agrabah stays getting destroyed  We spend more time rebuilding it in the canon than we do exploring it.
But two questions - are they voiced by their original voice actors and do the sparkles follow Aladdin and Jasmine wherever they go? |

And funnily this isn't the real Agrabah, just what the characters made up to escape the Forgetting lmao.
YEP, it's Linda and Scott for sure and yes, all characters get that sparkling effect, a bit of showcasing of this world being made of dream (and dreamlight being the source magic).
One thing I should note that to unlock their realm, you will need 15k dreamlight. You get that by completing ingame tasks and just simply progressing in the story really. I can help if you guys want.

Not sure where they going lol. We know Carpet will be a critter companion: basically they are like pets that can follow you around or even have them placed in areas if you put down a critter home and put them in. And from the trailer it's likely Carpet is going to be a realm reward, just before Aladdin and Jasmine joins the valley.
But yes, they confirmed that we do get a magic carpet glider, probably either a friendship quest or some hidden quest or maybe even part of the Starpath, just not Carpet himself.
I can tell you more specifics tomorrow, as that1s when they give us the pathcnotes for the update.

It seems it will be tied to a new kind of quest with a new mechanics in it, probably introduced by Aladdin as his gem stall is also mentioned. And yep, we get Carpet by completing the tasks in the realm before Al and Jas join the valley.

People requested having a gem stall, just like us having others stalls like Tiana's where we can buy meals, Mulan with her tea herbs, Gaston's meat stall and Kristoff's crafting material stall. It's to make life a bit easier for the players as we basically swimming in money.

We could do that if you guys are okay with it. I only finished their realm sotryline and I have quite a lot of things to say in a good way.
