I think it's kind of cool, actually. A lot of fans have this idea in their heads of Al and Jas's mothers (and it was the same with Al's dad, before KoT came out) as these inhumanly perfect people, and it turns out Al's mom is ugly and his dad's a criminal. Now I'm wondering what was wrong with the late Sultana... Twisted Evil

I always thought she looked like Iago when Genie turned him into Jasmine's mother in "Bad Mood Rising", but nothing tops the Molinaro.
