When the whole live-action craze started, I was really only initially in it for Aladdin and Mulan so I'm pumped for this. I'm all for refreshing takes on stories.
It reminds me a lot of the 2009 version of Mulan [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulan_(2009_film)]. It's in mandarin, but if you can find subtitles it's very good. |

Same!
This looks awesome, and the score in the trailer almost had me in tears, and I'm soooo pumped for it. Early reports said the songs wouldn't be in it, but I recently saw a video that said they changed their mind on that.
I mentioned to my bf (degree in film production) that I thought it odd that they would release such a big trailer this early in the game, and he seems to think that's a sign that the studio KNOWS it's good.
I'd love to check that version out too - bf can probably find it _________________

Yeah, I stopped listening to early reports when they said Abu and Rajah weren't going to be in Aladdin and yet there they were.
I thought they did it to signal to the Chinese market what kind of film it is since they notoriously loathe the animated version, and they really need them to like this film. That, and I imagine they changed their tactic on how to advertise these films after they fumbled through Aladdin's with like 3 teasers.
I can probably look around and find it if you really want it. |

Nah, I'm good for now. Realistically it'll probably be a while before I actually get to watching it. _________________

Just saw The Lion King, and the theatre clapped at the end of this trailer

New poster is out, but I’m in bed on my phone and don’t feel like doing the whole dance to post it.
But the new trailer will be out in the morning!! _________________

So Disney does know how to market movies. They just fail in every aspect of that when it comes to us
Looks amazing, though. I just fear her comments on the situation in Hong Kong are going to be a focal point as opposed to the movie during press time. |

I didn’t know that Jet Li was in it until recently. That’s interesting. |

Honestly, $30 is the price of me going by myself to the movies with food. This is the same price with no popcorn, soda or candy. My brain is malfunctioning
And isn't it just a rental? You don't even own it as far as I can tell. |

It seemed to me that it would stream on Disney+ indefinitely until the article called it one "one-off." Unclear what that means. _________________
